Hello, hello. We’re excited to share the very first update from Flying Fox Farm.

I’m Sofie. I’m a writer, artist, musician, instructional designer, and founder of Press Pause Press, an independent literary magazine and publisher. (But mostly I’m a mother). My husband Robert is a musician and property manager. Our toddler Julius is…well, wild. :)

Our family is working to grow Flying Fox into something more than just a farm. We want it to be a place where people can gather, learn, and create, whether that’s through yard sales and community events, workshops, open mics, or simply spending time together on the land watching movies or listening to music.

We’ll start with community events for kids and families as well as writing workshops, then move into making it a place for artists, musicians, and makers to stay and work on whatever creative thing they want to!

Behind the Scenes is a running story of our growth. Here, we’ll keep you posted on what’s happening, from small steps (like new trails or garden beds) to big milestones (like events and programs).
